Our cloisonné pins is the fine-art tradition of glass enameling, it started in China centuries age. Pins are made from a die and each color is injected into a recessed area or "canal." The pin is baked between every color. After all colors are applied, the pin is polished. The brass can be plated in gold, silver, or nickel. After being baked at a very high temperature, the glass enamel is sanded and polished to be flush with the metal lines that separate the colors. This gives the pins a smooth and lustrous quality.
Epola lapel pins
Epola uses a brilliant colored resin in recessed areas and allows Pantone color matching system; it’s a similar process to cloisonné. The piece is baked after each color fill and polished after completion. This process reveals small details beautifully and gives a glassy smooth finish to each piece. It is also a fabulous alternative to cloisonné.
